The Colorado gambling adventure starts in the fine casinos of Black Hawk, Central City, Cripple Creek or the Indian Casinos: Ute Mountain Casino & Sky Ute Casino in Towaoc, Colorado and Ignacio, Colorado. Also check these two sites for information on Cripple Creek Casinos.
Black Hawk, Central City and Cripple Creek are renovated ghost towns from the days of Colorado gold mining. Once famous for the "mother load" under the ground, now these Colorado casino towns deliver a different type of jackpot!
Friendly staff are waiting to greet you at the casinos in Colorado! Most Colorado casinos offer you free drinks while you play, or at least at a nicely discounted price.
Join the casino slot clubs to earn extra money and complimentary gifts from the casino like free meals or gambling souveniers and clothing. Some casinos also offer discounts on hotel rooms!
In 2007 Colorado gambling continues to grow and thrive with rumors of new casinos surfacing all the time. If there are no new casinos going up in Black Hawk, then look in Cripple Creek or Central City as the new highway - "Central City Parkway" - runs you over and the next Colorado casino boom begins.
In 2004 Cripple Creek saw the birth of two new Colorado casinos with the opening of Gold Creek casino & Wild Horse Casino.
Black Hawk, Colorado
Black Hawk saw construction finish on the Isle of Capri's new project between the Isle and Colorado Central Station. Also the Mardi Gras Casino in Blackhawk purchased Golden Gulch and Golden Gates Casinos.
What to look for next? The Richman Casino in Black Hawk has been sold and closed. Mountain High Casino has been purchased by Ameristar Casino and hotel construction has begun. The Isle of Capri's new casino hotel that bridges to Colorado Central Station is open. Central City casinos are booming thanks to the new "Central City Parkway" and the Century Hotel and Casino - along with a great new parking garage - is open and hot!!!
We can help you find gambling information regarding the casinos in Colorado. While we do try very hard to answer all of your questions we do have one requirement: You must ask your Colorado casino related questions in the appropriate gambling forum and send emails only if your question is of a technical nature or you are interested in contributing material to the Colorado Gambling Forum. Emails are also fine if you have a suggestion or a complaint. For reference our email address is: admin@coloradogamblingforum.com
Remember: We don't respond to casino questions via email. That's what the Colorado casino forums are for!

Colorado Gambling Forum offers a few really good pages on online casinos and online poker but in no way endorses online gambling. Online poker rooms are quickly becoming the most popular way to qualify for major poker events.
We urge you to check with your local law enforcement before engaging in online gambling (either at internet poker or casino sites). Colorado Gambling Forum cannot be responsible for the content of any other site.
A few new pages from a friend of ours are located here:
- for Online Casino click here.
- for Blackjack click here
If you use these sites, please tell them that CGF sent you - they are friends of ours. |
That said we have an excellent poker forum run by a friend of ours you should check out. The forum is run by the same folks at the Game of Poker website, so it's definitely a high quality site.
For online casinos, Colorado Gambling Forum has to pick Casino BLN which is truly a mega site for online gambling. Their sister site is an internet poker site called Das Poker which is translated into French on this page. If you visit any of the sites here, please tell Leroy we said hi! The other site we are affiliated with also lists only respectable, trusted casinos, so give it a shot today.

Central City, Colorado
Don\'t make the mistake of passing through Colorado gambling towns without checking out some of the abundant history and museums. Central City is home to the Gilpin County Historic Museum and Black Hawk has the Lace House (see picture lower right hand corner). With the recent completion of the Central City Parkway, it\'s easier than ever to get here.
It\'s also only a mile from the Black Hawk casinos and therefore also easy driving distance from Denver, Central City offers a variety of casinos as well - in all shapes and sizes. A favorite with the locals is the Dostal Alley Casino. This small but wonderfully old-style casino offers only slots and video machines, but it boasts the best Italian restaurant around – and it has it’s own brewery. For those with a taste for larger and more modern Colorado casinos, Central City houses the Fortune Valley Hotel and Casino; a 3-diamond establishment with more than a thousand slots, video poker and keno machines as well as blackjack and poker tables. This casino has top quality restaurants, live entertainment, and a gift shop. The casino and hotel offer valet parking, and the 118 hotel rooms are equipped with stocked mini bars, in-room coffee pots and direct-dial phones with data ports. Who needs Vegas when you can have all this while surrounded by the beauty of Colorado?
Black Hawk, Colorado
Just 40 miles from Denver and nestled high in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, the town of Black Hawk offers many casinos to choose from - from small and charming to large and elaborate. The historic district of old town Black Hawk has many small casinos such as the Black Hawk Station Casino, Bull Durham Casino and The Wild Card Casino. These casinos are relatively small but popular places that offer slots and video poker only. Most of the casinos in the old town district have bars that serve drinks and snacks. There are no hotels or large restaurants attached to these smaller casinos, but those amenities are always close by, including many Bed and Breakfast establishments, so transportation is not a problem. Vacationers and locals alike enjoy the casinos in old town Black Hawk for their warm atmosphere and neighborly charm.
The larger casinos in Black Hawk are located mainly in the newer area of the town, and are usually the first ones you see when driving in from Denver. The Lodge Casino and Hotel on Main Street offers 3 restaurants, an on-site hotel, and blackjack and poker tables along with the slots and video poker machines. The Ameristar Casino, formerly the Mountain High Casino, is the largest and arguably the most impressive casino in Colorado. It has over 1100 slots and video poker machines, plus plenty of poker and blackjack tables. The casino offers fine dining in a variety of restaurants, and of course, plenty of bars. Although the Ameristar Casino does not yet offer on-site lodging, it has started construction on a magnificent hotel tower.
The casinos mentioned are only a few that are in Black Hawk – gambling and tourism are now this former mining town’s largest industry - and it’s still growing.
While there is a slight shortage of lodging in Black Hawk, you can usually find a room for the night if you look hard enough. There are three major hotels in town - one is The Lodge Hotel & Casino (picture on right) and the others are the Isle of Capri Casino and Hotel and Colorado Central Station Hotel and Casino... if you can't find lodging there, we first suggest looking into the many Bed and Breakfasts in Black Hawk (see the lodging links below) especially the After Supper B&B. More hotel and bed & breakfast information and lodging listings are available here: Black Hawk Lodging, Central City Lodging, Cripple Creek Lodging, Lodging near Colorado Indian casinos.
Please visit our Colorado Directory for more useful websites.
More Gambling in Colorado
Along with Black Hawk and Central City, casinos can be found in other cities throughout the state of Colorado, such as Cripple Creek, where you can find the Black Diamond and Bronco Billy casinos among others... read on!
Cripple Creek Casinos
Cripple Creek also has rich history and a The Cripple Creek District Museum is great! (pictured below). Cripple Creek has lots of activities including annual gravity races plus guided mine tours, gold panning adventures, theatre and much more (casinos, for instance!) Cripple Creek has done a great job of preserving its history and authentic old west feel! Cripple Creek also has a wonderful Welcome Center which can be reached at 1-877-858-GOLD (toll free)
