I hold QQ from mid position, (6 players limp in), and an overcard and rags show up on the flop in a low limit 10 person very loose game. I know if I bet that in this game that I'll lose maybe 1-2 people. Do I bet? If I don't, do I play this hand out until I get a bet/raise?

First of all... did u raise preflop???? I hope u did with QQ. You want to get hands like K5, K7, A3, etc. out, so u need to raise and raise a good amount.

And yes, if it checked to u, u bet right away. You want to see whats out there... if someone calls you he may have that overcard... if u get raised, u get the hell out.

That happened to me in a limit game at the casino when I had JJ. The flop Q high. I bet out on the flop since I raised preflop in late position, I get a couple callers. I then take a free river card since they all checked to me and I felt one of them was check-raising. After the river, the board was still Q high with a straight possibility. This woman stared me down for a sec and bet. I thought about it for a second and sensed weakness. I called and she had K high (on a straight draw). I proudly showed my Jacks and she commented on my nice call down.

In a loose low-limit game with 6 limpers in, your pocket QQ are dead when an overcard falls. In these types of games people play A anything as weel as K anything generally.

Not a bad point there buddy.. but A or K with a horrible kicker like 2, 3, 4 etc... is not a good idea to play. In the ring game, theres a good chance someone also may have an A or K and your being outkicked pretty bad.

For kickers... i'll consider playing 8-9 (unsuited of course), anything lower i have to really think about it.

Yeah, raise hard to get people thinking you've got KK or even AA and narrow the field down a little. Do this early on as possible - preflop is best, so long as you haven't made too many bad calls people will automatically be thinking you've got a high pocket pair.

As for the kicker discussion, I won't play anything lower than a 7 unless suited, and if that's the case I need a King or an Ace to continue. A low-mid pair of cards, even suited, are useless if someone has a high card in hand.
