I’m in a SnG. Dealt pocket Q’s in big blind. There are about 6 callers ahead of me. 4 players limped in and one raised double the BB and the button called. Blinds are only at the 3rd level. I bet pot when it comes which is about 320 (blinds were 15-30). 2 people call. Flop: 2d 8s 4s. I bet pot which basically puts me all in. They both call. One has AQ and the other 2 middle spades. Spade on the river and I lose. What should I have done?

Your play seems fine. I have a bigger problem with the play of your opponents. I'm amazed that people call allin, or go allin with just draws, especially fl draws, or, even overcards. But they do, a sure sign of poor poker players. The problem is they hit them occasionally, which they remember, not the other 80% of the time that they lose.

I say, forget those 2 hands, and continue to make good plays.

You mean after you lost? There was nothing you could do to keep the river from being a spade but perhaps wait a couple more seconds before raising or calling.

You’re a low-limit player aren’t you? Don’t get me wrong, low limit games are fun, and they are a good way to get players familiar with the game without loosing the house, wife, and dog, but low-limit games tend to teach novice players bad habits.

Though I will patiently wait for you to explain how being a 3-1, or even 2-1 dog is a good position to bet aggressively? I bet draws very often, but I also have something to validate that play. Playing aggressive with ONLY a draw is very poor poker, unless your against another draw. Betting a draw, against a superior hand, is plain stupid. So say the odds. But maybe you explain?
