Hi to everybody just want to seek some advice about this one.
very loose/passive online low limit game
6 limpers, button (w. pocket red kings)raises, BB calls, limpers call (16 bets)
Flop:2s7sAs
BB raises, 2 limpers call, middle postion limper re-raises, late position limper re-raises again
What should the Button do? Would it change anything if the late position limper had folded?
What if the flop had been, 7s8sAs? |

What did you raise? If you raised allin, nothing left to do, and chances are good, you are beat.
If you raised preflop, big bet, and they called, with those flops, and raise, I'm not liking my ppK red.
You have 1 overcard and serious fl draw on board. You have 2 outs, 1 making fl draw almost certain.
I'm folding to another hand. |

| so there is 7 people seeing the flop aside from the button? This is the easiest fold possible, your kings are worthless. |

Easier fold. Just because you have good hole cards doesn't mean you have a good hand. Sometimes you will have to ditch AA KK AKs... it happens!! Players lose way too much money when they fall in love with their hole cards. Don't marry any of your hands because they could break you like that. Yes, AA is actually allowed to lose to 25o, when AA flops a set I know everyone is looking it up in the poker rule book but sometimes there's nothing you can do.
KdKh here though is a fold without question, you had a good hand preflop of course. But now, ESPECIALLY after all the raising and the flush on the board, you have almost no draw. Maybe if it was 2s 7s Ks then I could see a check/call situation to see if board pairs, but even then...
It's the players that fall in love with their hole cards that lose the major pots. Next time you limp with AA and someone catches an obviousy straight/set/flush remember that flops aren't out to get you, and your fisting yourself if you get trapped in these situations. |
