I am a serious poker player and I keep records to make sure that I'm making money and when I lose I try to correct my mistakes and not make them again.

One flaw in my game that I'm having a hard time correcting is playing heads up. That's something that does not seem to be covered in most poker sources, I've read the Supersystem and that's helped me the most. It's to the point where I only win heads up about half the time which isn't good enough for me. If anybody has an tips/advice or knows where to get good help on heads up play I'd appreciate it.

Ive posted a few of my thoughts as well as some good articles on Heads up and/or shorthanded play. If you use "search" and find my posts, you should see some with similar titles. Hope they help. Feel free to ask any questions.

Thank you, I hate to make excuses but it seems like I always get draw out somehow. Last night for example, I call all-in preflop with AA because I knew I was up against a calling station. Anyway, I get called with two diamonds, 10 7, and a flush is made against me. It's tough to learn anything from that because if I were in that situation again I'd probably do the same thing against a player like that with those cards.

I won a heads up match in a home tourney last night. I had like a 7 to 1 chip lead so it was relatively easy. Just a word of advice if you have a big chip lead, raise preflop all the time to chip away at him (no pun intended). You don't want him seeing the flop for cheap if you want to end it quickly. It worked for me yesterday.

When headsup with a chip lead, get VERY aggressive...With so few chips, your opponent can't afford to make mistakes. This does not mean to bet/raise with reckless abandon, but does mean that you should constantly be putting pressure on your opponent.
