Fold. Or bluff, if you think you can.

If you don't catch a piece of the flop, then you can rarely think you have the best hand.

I read that in such case it's better to bluff. [Roll Eyes]
Because it's very likely that someone has a set, no?
Let's add some details - shorthand table, late position and no one has raised. Does it justify to fold? I think there is a chance. [Smile]
What you think?
Or I'm mistaken and it's really better to fold at the flop?

In answer to your question:
Check & fold to any bet.
Here's why in my humble opinion: Hands containing A, K, 10 & 7 have you dominated. Unless you were coming out of the BB with no raise in front of you, you really shouldn't be playing the hand. What were you hoping for? Qxx? Top pair low kicker. 6xx? Probably low pr, decent kicker. Before playing a hand, think about what you can realistically expect on the flop. Miracles do happen but remember, they're called miracles for a reason.

Information is helpful isn't it.
Hmmm. NL, SH, LP. Well, like I said earlier, you've really got a stinker of a hand. But you've played it and it's around to you. Not sure what your definition of SH is but assuming <4; if you're going to make a move at the pot, make it difficult -3X BB- for people without A, K, 10, or 7 to call. If you're called be afraid, you're probably dead in the water. If someone comes over the top, fold. You were caught with your hand in the cookie jar.
Playing in these sort of situations point out the need for playing quality hands.

in this case i would make a small bet and see how the other player react to it. maybe they have the 10 not the 7's , or maybe their just on a draw or have a higher pocket pair. if you get raised then the correct ove is to fold. in the end you can lose 1 bet trying to take the pot or having a check fest with the obvious nut hand trying to trap all the other players.

I wouldn't want to stay in, particularly. If it's cheap I would stay in and see the turn, if nothing else comes up I would be out of there. Someone has a 7, or even a 10 and you're behind.

Sure, a 7 and a Q might come out on the turn and the river, but with that in hand there is nothing to get excited about and I'd be very inclined to fold.
