Looks like somebody isn't a fan of the bingo machines - the Governor is hoping to pass a bill to remove machines from dog tracks and the like. There is no plan to ban Bingo, though it would have to be by the more traditional method with cards rather than the electronic versions which have been sweeping America for the past couple of years as far as I'm aware.

I'm assuming it's because of the noise and disruption caused by the things - I'm not sure what they are like near you, but we get sound effects and all.
Nothing worse than going for a quiet drink and hearing the games machines in the corner making assorted pointless noises all evening. |

Probably, I know the feeling. I'm not sure if it's bingo machiens necessarily round here, but even so there are cards games, wheel of fortune games and such-like that make cheesy pop sounds whenever you spin, bet, win, lose... etc etc.
Very annoying and can detract from anything else you might be concentrating on so I'm not surprised he's opted to back banning them. |
