So me and Six of my friends were playing a 10$ buy in tournament style game. It came down to my and one of my friends heads up, I was facing a huge chip lead and hoping to battle back. So one of the hands I got Ac7d, flop comes 4c7h3d my friend comes out betting a good amount (can't remember the exact amount) I put him on a straight draw, so I go all in with top pair not letting him see a card free that could complete his straight. He call and Shows 6d7c, damn. He's got top pair and a straight draw, turn comes 5c which completes his straight. I just want to know if I played it right.

Im assuming you were playing him heads up when only it was the 2 of you left with chips. If not you should have folded, 7 people playing 2 aces prolly wont get it done.

If it is heads up play you should have raised real real big pre flop (possibly all in). This would have prolly made him fold. If he calls it then you cant do anything about it but that is the right play.

Yeah I think you did, I would have went all in on the flop with a small stack and maybe even all in preflop with A 7 (would have definitly raised heads up preflop).
Even with a raise preflop your friend still could have bet on the flop.

I think you were 72% favourite.

You were favourite, though a big bet at the flop would probably have pushed me out. With not too much in hand, I don't think it was worth risking your chip lead on that, especially considering you had put him on a straight.

Not bad play, just I wouldn't have gone in there.

yeah i think you plyated it correctly! thats my thinking iam still a lerner, but had i been in your place i would also have had, heads up when only it was the 2 of you left with chips. If not you should have folded, 7 people playing 2 aces prolly wont get it done.
